U.S. and Israel Launch a New Kind of Cyber Warfare through Flame Virus
Both the U.S. and Israel have decided into a new phase of warfare, which is the cyberwarfare. It has been said earlier by the U.S. defence officials that they believe that the next frontier to conquer would not only be the outer space, but also the cyberspace. Recently, the Flame virus has been much in the news all due to this very cyber-targeting that the U.S. and Israel have initiated.
The Flame virus is said to be the nastiest of all computer viruses yet. It is a highly sophisticated piece of malware which can turn infected computers into listening machines. Now that is what is called supreme surveillance and peak of espionage. Right out of a science-fiction work. It was designed especially to map out Iran’s nuclear systems and also to spy on Iranian officials. The reports about this have been all over the mainstream media. What is astonishing is the admittance by these two powerful countries that they have indeed done this deed, as if to almost take pride in their act of such cyber-attack.
Behind these were the CIA, the National Security Agency and Israel’s military. Had it been some other country perpetrating the same act, it would have been a clear declaration of war on its part. But since it is the big boss who has been involved in it with its big ally and strategic friend, no limit is too much. If it had happened once, it can happen again and if had happened to Iran, it can happen to any other country that these virus-infecting countries want to.
