Facebook Still Dominates Social Networking Around the World
Despite all odds that have beginning to stand in front of Facebook, the world’s largest social network is still going strong and popular. A recently survey by an Italian-based social media strategist revealed that Facebook is the most used social network around the world. This might not seem to be any new news as most internet users are aware of how big a network that mostly socialize online through.
But it becomes interesting news to find out based on the infographic map. Out of the 137 countries where the internet is accessed, some 126 countries used Facebook the most. Especially users in the U.S., Australia, Japan, the U.K., Canada, Brazil and India. Though in most of these countries, Facebook has seen a decline in users’ enthusiasm toward it, but none the less, Facebook is still their most popular way to connect with friends online. Amongst continents, Facebook is most used in Europe with 232 million users, but the U.S. alone accounts for this much with 222 million users in the country alone.
Some countries, which are not at all enthusiastic about Facebook are Russia, China, Vietnam and Latvia. In these countries, their own social networks have monopolized social networking with Odnoklassniki, QZone, Zing, and Draugiem respectively being most popular in the countries mentioned. Social media experts do speculate from now and then that Facebook will have a fall and we should not be blinded by its current rise. The reason being that other social networking giants, like Twitter, Google+ and Badoo will also have their days soon as social networking reigning sites.
